Principles of Economics-Carl Menger

Economics for Real People.

We sent this out after the first meeting but encase you missed it This is a great little book that is worth reading.

Economics in One Lesson

This primer on economic principles brilliantly analyzes the seen and unseen consequences of political and economic actions. In the words of F.A. Hayek, there is no other modern book from which the intelligent layman can learn so much about the basic truths of economics in so short a time.

Business Cycle Presentation

Capital based macro-economics is a different way to approach economics that integrates both Macro and Micro Economics.  Rodger Garrison has developed a system of diagrams that uses Hayek’s Triangles and links them to the Production Possibilities Frontier and the Market for Loanable Funds.

The Financial Crisis: A Reader

A comprehensive list of artilces and books on the financial crisis and the subsequent bailouts.  There are articles here dating back to 2003 about the perils of the housing crisis so learn from those knew it was coming.

The Aftermath of Financial Crises

“the recent lull in sovereign defaults is likely to come to an end” pg 11.  Probably worth a special mention.
